WHAT IS A VIRTUAL APPOINTMENT?
Get the expertise you need, no matter where you live.
With just a telephone or internet connection, you are able to talk with me to ask questions, discuss options, and share information. It’s safe, secure, and completely confidential.
Benefits of a virtual appointment to discuss disease prevention…
- Open discussion – You can relax and share your concerns without the anxiety or pressure of an office visit. The consultation is friendly, conversational, and accepting.
- Solution focused – During your consultation, I will evaluate your situation and assess the information you present during our conversation and via your intake form. Together we will explore options and identify the best plan for you and your family.
- Accessible anywhere – Because our time together is virtual, we’re not limited by geography or location. You can get the expert help you need right from your home.
- Peace of mind – Healthcare decisions can be confusing and overwhelming, especially when you feel pressured or anxious. During our time together, I’ll guide and empower you so you can make the best possible decision for you and your family.

How do virtual appointments work? What can I expect?
Virtual appointments are conducted over the phone or via visual software allowing us to use a camera. The appointments are secure, confidential, and totally focused on you and your needs.
On the day of your appointment, simply call me at the appropriate time using the information I provide. This step is required by law in order to protect your privacy.
During your virtual appointment , we will ask and answer questions, discuss issues, and ultimately come up with a plan that addresses your needs. The tone of the appointment is relaxed and conversational, and the appointment itself is not recorded. You are free to share your concerns in complete privacy and safety.
How many appointments will I need to create a vaccination plan or address my issue?
Many appointments are “one and done,” meaning you get the information you need to move forward with a single appointment. You’ll also receive information to help you determine when a follow up appointment will be beneficial. In some cases I may recommend a follow up appointment to check-in and assess your progress.
How do I prepare for our appointment?
After you schedule your appointment time, you will receive an email welcoming you to my practice. This email will include your secure login information for my HIPAA compliant patient portal. Inside the portal, you will be instructed to complete the appropriate intake form and review my office policies, etc. The intake form is comprehensive and may take a bit of time to complete. You can work through it all at once or take breaks and return to it if you prefer.
What is the cost of an appointment?
Appointments are billed at the rate of $5 per minute and full payment is due at the time of scheduling. The value of any unused time is refunded to you immediately at the conclusion of our time together.
After the initial appointment, are you available to support me?
My door is always open. We can schedule follow-up appointments at any time. After your initial appointment, I am available via email. There is no charge to ask a follow up question related to our appointment together, such as clarifying a forgotten detail. Follow up via email for new questions is subject to billing at the standard rates.
Do you accept or bill insurance?
Our time together is considered a consultation. Since no doctor-patient relationship is established, most insurance plans will not reimburse. You may be able to submit your receipt to an HSA for reimbursement.
